• Liscarroll is a village just 6 miles from Buttevant in North Cork. Exit N20 (Cork-Limerick) and take R522 direct to Liscarroll. Racecourse is adjacent to the Village and Race Day parking is on the grounds of The Donkey Sanctuary.

The track itself is an excellent galloping left handed track and known as The Cheltenham of the "South" - primarily due to the excellent record of its graduates on the big stage.
Graduates include the great DENMAN - the most successful of all Irish Point to Point winners to win the elusive Cheltenham Gold Cup. Incidentally, DENMAN was trained locally by another Cheltenham Gold Cup hero Adrian Maguire who was successful on Cool Ground. Peddlers Cross - 4-Y-O winner in 2009 is yet another success story for Liscarroll. The winner of 10 Races for trainer Donald McCain Jnr and a very game 2nd to Hurricane Fly in the 2011 Champion Hurdle when going under by just over a length. Next Sensation - 5 -Y-O winner in 2012 also paid a visit to the winners’ enclosure in Cheltenham 2015 when gaining success for the Scudamore team.
Bush fences are well presented and all parts of the Course are in view with the finish line in front of the crowd.

UK buyers and agents are frequent visitors in search of future stars. 2015 graduates are already shining, STOWAWAY MAGIC - 4-Y-O winner was successful on his Racecourse debut when an impressive 5 length winner in a Kempton bumper and now in the care of of N Henderson at his Lambourne yard. ARTICULIM - 5-Y-O winner is a dual bumper winner for trainer Terence O' Brien, HITTHEHIGHWAY is also a 2 time winner in the UK and KILLABRAHER CROSS has joined the band of winners in the UK.

Prizes are presented to the groom of the best turned-out horse in each race.
Family entertainment is provided with bouncy castles and face painting free to all children.
Refreshments incl. tea's & coffee, chips, burgers, ice-creams & soft drinks are available.
Parking facilities are excellent and approached by stoned drive-ways.
THE DONKEY SANCTUARY is adjoining the RACE DAY car park and is hugely popular with race-goers and visitors alike.
Liscarroll Castle is in view and on the lands of the O' Brien family on whose farm Point to Point racing has been run since 1954.
Modification to the track have taken place over the years and the hard-working Committee are determined to build on this success.
